Please congratulate Larry on successfully passing his Private Pilot Checkride with DPE Julie Paasch. If you have spent any time at “Gibbs” at MYF, you have probably talked to Larry in passing. Larry is a retired Navy Commander that I actually met while we were extras on Top Gun Maverick a couple years ago when they were filming scenes on Naval Air Station North Island. Larry felt the need for speed (of a C-172) and got started on taking lessons shortly after. Larry had to take some time off during COVID but came back strong to finish last month. Major accomplishment and dream checked off the bucket list. Good job Larry!
