Aircraft Description

Green Flash (N80906) is the second plane in the Red Door Aviation fleet. She is a STC C172M. We did the same exact panel upgrade as we did for Chicken Hawk (N75733). We wanted to bring availability by providing a second full Glass Cockpit in a C172 to the Plus One community.  Green Flash is a 180 HP C172 with the conversion done by “Air Plains”.  She has like new paint and like new interior. As with all of our planes she comes with the full spectrum of upgrades. ADS-B In/Out, VFR/IFR charts, and approach plates are always standard with all Red Door planes. Our G3X MFD/PFD, GTN750 TXI, and GFC 500 autopilot panel is what I would consider the perfect panel and is the standard for all of our planes.  This G3X platform is extremely intuitive and perfect for all forms of flying. Low time student pilots can get a head start on the technologies of today while working the pattern. She is an Instrument students dream with synthetic vision, Geo-reference approach plates and IFR charts all built in. I will be personally updating the SIM cards when each update comes out. Commercial time builders can turn the auto pilot on enjoy the flight. We wanted to make all the planes in our Red Door fleet the perfect training platforms. However, I think even the seasoned professional pilots will be impressed with this C172. Come check her out, she is in Shelter Spot Six. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me any time.

This Plane  owner requests approval for any trip longer than two days.  We Obviously want to try and accommodate everyone. However, this plane was really created to help support the student pilots on the field. If you want to book this plane for more than one night away please call or email me and make your request.

Special Note: Aircraft is Equipped with ESP (electronic stability protection) this protects the aircraft from exceeding the published envelope. Essentially if you wanted to stall the plane and ESP is armed the plane wont stall. So if you are going to practice maneuvers such as stalls or steep turns you need to deactivate ESP. You can do this by touching the autopilot control bar above the attitude indicator on the G3X ten inch screen. Tap the bar and the G3X autopilot control panel will come up. You will see that ESP is active with a green indicator. Tap the ESP button to deactivate. This is very simple to do, but if you are unfamiliar  it can sound confusing. Trust me, it’s easy. Once ESP is disabled it will remain disabled until either you reactivate it or the plane is shut down and turned back on.
