N9687J – PIPER PA-28-180
This good looking Cherokee had a panel upgrade early 2021.
It does not require a vacuum pump, but it has one for redundancy. With dual G5s, this low time PA28 offers reversionary display capability plus the added redundancy of dual ADAHRS and dual backup batteries, not to mention the well established reliability of the traditional steam gauges.
A Stratus ESG transponder is installed for your ADS-B Out requirements. You can easily connect your iPad to receive traffic information (ADS-B In) if using ForeFlight or another equivalent application.
For navigation, as well as departure and approach procedures, the airplane has a Garmin GNS 530W Com/GPS, which is connected to the G5 HSI Electronic Flight Instrument.
The audio panel is a Garmin GMA 345, which has blue-tooth connectivity; you can listen to music during your flight.
This Cherokee is a suitable trainer for your private, commercial or CFI “ticket”. It also provides an outstanding platform for your instrument rating. But if your single purpose is to build hours, enjoy the comfort of a nicely rigged airplane during longer flights.
The engine is a roaring Lycoming O-360-A4A with a 180 horsepower output, recently overhauled to new limits.
Come and enjoy one of the best PA28s in the Club’s fleet.
