Important Reminders

• SAFETY REMINDERS HOTLIST - Please regularly review the Plus One Flyers Safety Officer's list of club safety issues and rules.

   

• REFUELING AIRCRAFT - When returning from a flight you are responsible for ensuring the aircraft is refueled. After your postflight go to the Gibbs FBO office and put in an order for fuel.  If Gibbs is closed call and leave a message on 858-277-0310, or call the next morning.
   

• ANNUAL FLIGHT REVIEW - All Plus One Flyers members are required to complete a yearly flight review, except for student pilots.  After your flight review is completed make a copy of your logbook endorsement and your medical certificate and deposit them at the Plus One Flyers office credit card receipt box. Failure to do this will result in suspension of your scheduling and flying privileges.
   

• POSTFLIGHT FOR AIRCRAFT OPERATING HANDBOOKS, LOGS, AND CHECKLISTS - During your postflight check ensure you are not taking the aircraft checklists, operating handbooks or logs, which are usually expensive to replace. If you need a checklist or POH to study for the aircraft you fly, you are expected to buy your own.  If after you leave the airfield you discover you have taken an item from the aircraft, please call the Operations Officer and return it as soon as possible.
   

• AIRCRAFT PAYMENT PROCEDURE - Please make sure the airplane tail N-number and your name are on all receipts and checks, including fuel receipts. If you don’t receive a fuel receipt, please enclose a note with your flight payment and then submit a copy of your credit card statement (with tail number and date) to us as soon as possible.

   

• PCATD SIMULATOR USE NOTICE - Please read the login and logout instructions before you use the Elite PCATD simulator in the Plus One Flyers office at Gibbs Flying Service.
   

• PILOT OBSOLETE CERTIFICATES - If your pilot certificate uses your Social Security Number (SSN) for the Certificate Number or you still have a paper certificate please visit the FAA web site to reissue a new plastic certificate. Having a FAA-assigned number reduces the risk of identity theft. The new plastic pilot certificates are more durable than the paper versions and are able to take a trip or two in the washing machine. Please ensure you inform the club when your certificate number changes.
